Michael Jackson's daughter, Paris Katherine Jackson, is comforted by her uncle Marlon Jackson at a memorial service for her father, Michael Jackson, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, July 7, 2009.

At Michael Jackson’s memorial on Tuesday, his 11-year-old daughter, Paris, paid an emotional tribute to her father.

A source has told Female First that Paris was inspired by the artists who performed at her superstar father’s memorial and wants to record a song for her him.

The source said, “Paris is overwhelmed. She never comprehended the scope of his [Jackson’s] fame.”

Jackson attempted to protect his children as best he could by having them wear face masks and keeping them out of the spotlight.

According to the report, Paris has discussed her desire with her family, but they want to protect her privacy. “The Jacksons are reluctant. But she’s convinced it’s a good idea,” said the source.
